Dashboard Confessional Cancels Tour

Dashboard Confessional have announced that, due to family circumstances beyond their control, their upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Nevershoutnever! Meg & Dia, and Single File has been cancelled. Read the band’s statement below:

We have some bad news. Due to a family situation that is beyond our control, we have to cancel our upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File (we are still playing with the Louisville Orchestra on November 7th). We don’t take this lightly but family has to come first. As this is a last minute development, we are still figuring out what we will do- as soon as we know, you will know. We apologize to everyone who planned on coming to the shows. We will find a way to make it up to you.

Meg & Dia – Here, Here, And Here ALBUM REVIEW

I’ve been a big fan of the Frampton sisters, ever since they were The Meg & Dia Band. Dia has an unmistakeable voice, and I couldn’t wait to hear how she worked it on the new record. I had been anticipating Here, Here, And Here ever since the band played Black Wedding on their tour last winter with Angels & Airwaves. The tune had a different spin to it, not like previous MAD songs, so it sparked my curiosity for the new album.

To my surprise, the album is a lot better than I was expecting. Each song on the album explores a different side of the band, a side that has yet to be exposed. The lyrics are a lot more mature, as well as the musical aspects. In Agree To Disagree, they throw in a harmonica to give it a rustic, country flair. Going Away has as pop-like feel to it, making it perfect for the radio. What If? and Black Wedding are the perfect rock ballads with just the right amount of feeling. Fighting For Nothing has deep and meaningful lyrics, that take a slight stab at just the right person. And, just when you think it can’t get any better, Tom Higgenson from The Plain White T’s, stars opposite Dia in Bored Of Your Love.

I give the album Nineteen Stars out of Nineteen!
