“102.1 the Edge is proud to continue its tradition of showcasing Canadian and International talent at Edgefest ’12, “said Ross Winters, Program Director, 102.1 the Edge. “Edgefest gives our dedicated listeners access to a full day of live music in an outdoor setting at Toronto’s Downsview Park.”
“I feel like this year’s Edgefest is the best one yet! I had a dream of the bands that I wanted to see and everyone said yes! In a city without champions we can now declare we have a winner and its name is Edgefest!” – shouts the festival’s talent buyer Elliott Lefko from Goldenvoice. From the company that produces Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Goldenvoice is one of the world’s leading event promotions companies.
Edgefest began as a single event for the 10th birthday celebration of 102.1 the Edge, Toronto’s leading new rock station. After such an incredible success, the event turned into an annual concert for music enthusiasts. For the past 20 years, Edgefest has featured the biggest names in new rock such as Rise Against, A Perfect Circle, AFI, Tool, Radiohead, Green Day, Blur, Our Lady Peace, Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots and hundreds of other major label and indie acts.
