The pop-punk quartet are at it again… but this time better! When The World Comes Down is arguably the best album they have released, and that’s saying a lot because of their success from Move Along which was released in 2005.

They left us on a cliff-hanger after Move Along, patiently waiting nearly three years to hear the new songs. This album was worth the wait, and you could see why the wait was so long; they wanted to make something amazing, and that they did!

The first single from the album, Gives You Hell, has a cute melody and the lyrics are catchy. One of my personal favourites on the album is Another Heart Calls, which is a deep duet with one of the Pierce sisters (also from Oklahoma). Her voice mixed with Tyson’s (Ritter) creates a perfect match. In true AAR style, there had to be one song about heartbreaks. Breakin’ is that one on the album, and the lyrics are so delicate and true.

Remember when they sang songs about swinging from the tangles of their broken hearts? Look at how much they’ve grown!

I give it FIVE rolling tumbleweeds out of five.
