Having just seen them the night before in Montreal, I knew was in for another amazing show! My friend (and also my ride to Toronto from Ottawa!) ended up sleeping in that morning, so we had a late start! But after getting lost a couple of times, we ended up at the venue only to find that we were about half an hour late for the meet and greet. Somehow, we were lucky enough to still get in thanks to an incredibly nice security guard!
The guys were great as usual to all there fans, making sure that everyone got a picture and autograph. They’re always so easy to talk to and we talked about everything from William’s fall onstage in Montreal to the huge hole The Butcher noticed he had in his crotch throughout the whole show! All in all, awesome guys.
Once the meet and greet was over, we headed back out to the venue to watch Hey Monday perform. The show in montreal was the first time I had heard them play and was really impressed with the singer’s voice…especially considering she was sick. Good band, catchy songs.
Carolina Liar were next and I had really liked them the night before so I was excited to see them play again. They have great energy on stage and are great at hyping up the crowd. I would definitely recommend checking them out!
We the KIngs are definitely one of my favorite bands right now, so of course, seeing them again was something I was looking forward to all day! They were incredible as usual. Their cover of “Feel Good” by the Gorillas is great and I was really happy to be able to get it on video!
So the moment I was really waiting for was next: Seeing The Academy is.. take the stage! I may be biased here (well not maybe, definitely lol) but they are one of the most amazing live bands I have seen. They’re just one of those bands that you feel like you can never get enough of! Everytime I have seen them, I immediately start looking forward to the next time. They played a great range of songs from all 3 albums and I also liked that they played a slightly different setlist than they did in Montreal. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see them live, I suggest you put them on your to-do list. You will definitely not regret it!
So the show was over, but good times were definitely had and I had to gear up for All Time Low the next day!
