Findlay, Ohio’s Screamo/Christian outfit Before Their Eyes have just released their sophomore album The Dawn of my Death. Now, in 100 words or less, let’s look over reasons why you should check this album out:
- Nick Moore’s vocals are absolutely astounding. He manipulates his voice to suit the heavier and lighter sides of the album. Unpredictable styles come about, ensuring satisfaction and no similar sounding songs.
- Guitarists Brenden Zapp, Landon Tewers, and Anthony Damschroder harmonize wonderfully while providing edgy riffs and solos. Percussionist Jarrett Hottman totally takes control of the skins, taking the listener from one track to the next.
Rise Records made no mistake by signing these guys to their label. Although they’ve been together for less than 2 years, they have better chemistry than bands have after 5. You can rest assured that this album will not disappoint even the most skeptical of critics. Hints of southern hardcore rock, with a tinge of pop for good measure, allow for a well-balanced album with irregular progressions and tracks you can’t help but groove to. Before Their Eyes keeps fans on their toes by maturing musically through instrumentation, genre, and vocal styling. This album is a complete hit and be sure to keep an eye out for this band, as huge things are already coming from them. Success is definitely on their horizon.
