If you were me, or even like me, you were completely blown away by The Blood Brothers. By their voice, their strength, their sheer power and force. And once again, if you were me, or like me, you were blown away when they announced that the band had come to an end in late 2007. And while the saying goes that all good things must come to an end, there can be a revival.

From the ashes of The Blood Brothers comes Jaguar Love with singer Johnny Whitney taking his place at the mic while Cody Votolato takes up his guitar again. The two are joined by former Pretty Girls Make Graves member Jay Clark on drums. Together, they formed Jaguar Love.

Make no mistake, Jaguar Love is not a cover or even close to anything with the Bloods. But it’s hard to deny Whitney’s very unique vocals. A staple between both bands, Whitney tones it down drastically in Jaguar, currently being acclaimed by many, many music outlets as something to watch out for. No longer under the post-hardcore label, the band rocks an indie sound with classic trademarks of the band members’ previous styles, but gravitating a little towards the mainstream.

And that’s not a bad thing.

Jaguar Love will be on tour across the US and Canada.
