CD reviews

The boys from Anberlin are back with a new record, quicker then expected. When they left Tooth and Nail in 2007 and made the decision to sign with Universal Republic Records, that meant that they had to write a new record.  New Surrender was released on September 30th, 2008, and has had nothing but praise.

Anberlin took a new spin to their old sound, trying out different sounds and creative melodies. They sang and strummed about new things other then heartbreak (song Younglife) and re-vamped an old classic (Feel Good Drag) and made it sound better then it ever has. They took chances with this record, putting their fans on the edges of their seats, and pulled it off. The boys polished up their nearly six years of hard work, showing the improvement they’ve made over their past records. They’ve made some incredible progress, and this is definitely an album that will help them make it (not that they haven’t already, but it’ll help them make it even MORE.).

Stephen Christian has a signature sound to his voice, and he can make anything sound good.
