CD reviews

Ok, so Shudder is basically a great album. I, personally, love Bayside, and this new CD hasn’t changed my mind one bit.

As soon as the first song started playing, I could tell this would be more of the same amazing beats from Bayside. That being said, more of the same is pretty much everything in a nutshell. It has alot of great songs, but it sure isn’t anything revolutionary from the band. Jack O’Sheas guitar abilities are still very much evident with some amazing solos thrown in, and Anthony’s voice is still one of the most unique on the scene right now, but it sure isn’t a huge step up from previously released albums by Bayside. The lyrics are still as deep as always, drawing from their life experiences, and that definitely gives them something more than other bands that just write rhymes to sell records. These guys obviously put a lot of time and effort into the creation of their songs and it shows.

In the end, I’d say if you like Bayside, you should definitley pick up Shudder the next time your out, but if you didn’t like them before, I have a big feeling you might not like them now. If your not sure then hit up their myspace page and see for yourself.
